Mt. Pleasant Temporium
Client: A pop-up shop featuring works from 30 local artists and crafters, housed in a formerly vacant storefront in DC’s eclectic Mt. Pleasant neighborhood.
Need: A ground-up branding identity reflecting the hand-crafted, DIY nature of the products; the vibrancy of the neighborhood; and the creative place-making ambitions of the project.
Response: A storytelling theme to every aspect of the campaign weaved together the cultural strands binding the neighborhood; pre-launch outreach to businesses on the Mt. Pleasant strip resulted in a cross-promotional storytelling/poster campaign; a local storytelling troupe held free workshops at the Temporium; A social media campaign featuring the hand-crafted Temporium “T” logo served as an icon recognized throughout the city; a bilingual tagline featured in signage and promotional materials offered the space as a place for multicultural convergence.
